Nissan has confirmed pricing and specifications for the 2026 Qashqai, which arrives in New Zealand in April 2026 as an e-POWER-only offering.
This new Qashqai range adopts Nissan’s latest ‘hybrid re-invented’ e-POWER technology, built around an all-new 5-in-1 powertrain that integrates the electric motor, generator, inverter, increaser and reducer into a single compact unit. High-pressure cast aluminium components are produced in Dandenong.

The result is a claimed fuel economy improvement of 23 per cent to 4.1L/100km, and a 26 per cent reduction in CO₂ emissions. Sport Mode also introduces a temporary +10kW boost for sharper response.
“The new Qashqai delivers the real-world efficiency of e-POWER to New Zealand consumers in a right-sized package that’s further optimised across multiple fronts,” said Nissan New Zealand Country Manager Jenni Martin.

As before, e-POWER delivers an EV-like driving experience without plug-in charging, with the wheels driven solely by an electric motor while a 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol engine generates electricity on demand. Nissan claims enhanced refinement, instant acceleration and quiet operation, alongside impressive range capability demonstrated by a 1300km UK test on a single tank.
Styling updates include a redesigned grille with high-gloss ‘comma’ elements, revised lighting signatures front and rear, and the introduction of the limited-run N-Design grade with 20-inch alloys and body-coloured lower trim. Inside, new materials, ambient lighting from Ti grade, and upgraded seat trims lift perceived quality.

The updated Qashqai lineup is priced from $53,990 for the new ST-L e-POWER, $53,990 for the Ti e-Power, and $62,990 for both the Ti-L e-Power and the N-Design e-POWER.
Enhanced infotainment, updated driver assistance systems and Nissan’s full safety suite are standard across the range.
