Porsche has reclaimed the Taycan Turbo GT’s title as the world’s fastest electric vehicle around the Nürburgring.

The example used to set the record by Porsche featured a bunch of go-fast parts supplied by Manthey Racing.

Retuned software, lighter 21-inch wheels, and a plethora of new aero (increasing downforce to 310kg at 200km/h) all contributed to the record.

Peak outputs were also raised to 730kW/1270Nm for the record lap attempt.

This Manthey-equipped Taycan Turbo GT managed to lap the ‘ring in a blistering six minutes and 55.53 seconds.

To achieve this record, the Taycan had to beat the Xiaomi SU7 Ultra (at 07.04.96 seconds), and the Yangwang U9 Xtreme (at 06.59.16 seconds).

The Manthey Taycan’s time is twelve seconds faster than the standard Turbo GT.
