Ram has teased an updated version of the V8-powered 1500 TRX in a short video that was posted to YouTube.
Titled “Ram Trucks | Apex | Get Ready 01.01.26”, the video hints at a full unveiling to arrive on new year’s day in the US, or January 2 in New Zealand.
The video only shows sand being blown around the desert, but it’s the soundtrack that has the automotive world captivated.
It’s quite obvious the Hemi V8 is the star of the show here, and the desert setting quite obviously points to a new 1500 TRX.
Ram bringing back the V8-powered 1500 TRX is no secret, with Stellantis CEO Antonio Filosa previously confirming this during an earnings call.
“The V8 engine on versions [of our pickup trucks], such as the Ram 1500 TRX, will deliver to us additional volumes but also accredited margins per unit,” Mr Filosa said.
This came as a relief to a lot of petrolheads around the globe, as the Hemi V8 was replaced by the ‘Hurricane’ twin-turbo straight-six engine in the 1500 for its facelift.

It remains unclear as to just how powerful the 1500 TRX will be when it reappears, but it’s likely that it will eclipse the 402kW/706Nm provided by the “high output” six-cylinder.
With its 6.2-litre supercharged V8 engine, the last 1500 TRX made a hefty 523kW and 882Nm of torque, which sent the truck to 100km/h in just 4.5-seconds.
