Volkswagen has given the world a glimpse of its next-generation interior, showing off the inside of the all-new ID.Polo.
Though we are yet to see the exterior of the ID.Polo unveiled in full, these interior shots give good insight as to what to expect from the little electric hatchback.

According to Volkswagen, this ID.Polo’s interior has been “systematically optimised based on customer feedback,” referencing the criticism faced by the ID.3’s cabin.
Moving away from haptic panels, the ID.Polo benefits from physical buttons on both spokes of the steering wheel, controlling features such as driver assistance systems, entertainment, and steering wheel heating.

Driving information is displayed on a 10.25-inch digital cluster behind the steering, which can be configured to gauges reminiscent of the original Golf.
Located in the centre of the dash is a 13.0-inch infotainment display that can also share the retro styling of the cluster.

Beneath this display are the climate controls, all with physical buttons.
A volume control knob is located between the wireless smartphone charger and cupholders in the console between the seats.
Aside from the buttons, the other big change inside this ID.Polo is the cloth coverings on a majority of surfaces.

This light grey fabric not only covers the seats, but can be found across the door cards and lower dashboard. This is contrasted by black cloth on the upper dash.
Volkswagen mentioned in the release that this next-generation interior in the ID.Polo will preview what we can expect to see in future models.
