The C6 Z06 is the Corvette at its most uncompromising. Unveiled in 2005, it paired a 7.0-litre LS7 V8 making 505 horsepower with a six-speed manual and a lightweight body built around an aluminium frame and carbon-fibre floor. It weighed around 1,420 kg and hit 100 km/h in under four seconds. The LS7 is the star: naturally aspirated, dry-sump, with titanium con rods and a redline near 7,000 rpm, delivering raw, linear response that turbocharged cars cant match.

As the last of the traditional front-engine, naturally aspirated Z06s, its collectability is only heading one way.
