Bookings open for Porsche’s closest Experience Centre to NZ

Words: Kyle Cassidy

Porsche has opened bookings for its new Singapore Experience Centre, with driving programmes available from April 2027. Based on Porsche’s current worldwide network, the Changi facility will be the closest Porsche Experience Centre to New Zealand.

It will become the brand’s 11th Experience Centre globally, bringing a purpose-built driving circuit, coaching programmes, dining and family activities together in one location.

Prices start at SGD 300 for a Co-Pilot experience, while a 30-minute guided driving session starts at SGD 450. The initial booking calendar offers sessions from April onwards, ahead of the facility’s grand opening ceremony.

At the heart of the centre is a circuit measuring more than two kilometres, with 18 turns. Porsche says participants will be able to experience speeds of up to 200km/h and cornering forces of up to 1.4g under professional supervision.

The programmes will also cover vehicle control, emergency manoeuvres and road safety, giving drivers of different experience levels the opportunity to develop their skills and better understand how the cars behave.

For Kiwi enthusiasts, Singapore’s location makes the new centre an option to build into a holiday or stopover, without travelling as far as Porsche’s facilities in Japan, China, Europe or North America.

Porsche is also aiming to give travelling companions something to do while the driving enthusiasts head for the circuit. Plans include dining and hospitality facilities, simulators, a children’s play area, changing heritage exhibitions and community spaces.

“Conceived from the start as a destination for Southeast Asia, PEC Singapore will give customers and enthusiasts from across the region thrilling driving experiences and new ways to experience Porsche, while its lifestyle, hospitality and dining offerings will welcome an even broader audience, with something for the whole family to experience,” says Porsche Asia Pacific chief executive Ragnar Schulte.
