GMC Yukon Denali Signature Black Edition priced for New Zealand

General Motors Australia and New Zealand has announced a new special version of the biggest SUV they sell on our shores.
Starting at $193,490, the GMC Yukon Denali Signature Black Edition gives local buyers another option for American-built luxury.

As the name suggests, this SUV wears an almost entirely black exterior, with Onyx black paint, Black Vader chrome detailing, and black 24-inch wheels.
The bigger changes come on the inside, where this Yukon swaps out the middle seat in the second row for a pair of captain’s chairs.

According to GMSV, this was something customers across the Tasman were asking for, so they decided to put them into this special edition.
The second row retains the monitors mounted in the back of the front seats, making for a very luxurious and spacious experience.
Like the standard Yukon Denali, this one is powered by GM’s 6.2-litre petrol V8 engine, producing 313kW and 624Nm. This is sent to all four wheels via a 10-speed automatic transmission.

It also comes on air ride suspension as standard, with GM’s fancy Magnetic Ride Control system.
“The Yukon Denali Signature Black reflects how closely we listen to our customers and respond to what they want from a premium SUV. Developed with their feedback in mind, the second-row Captain’s Chairs and purpose-selected 24-inch wheels, finished in a distinctive all-black treatment, give customers a more individual expression of GMC luxury.
“Together, these features elevate the commanding comfort and presence that already define Yukon, while maintaining the towing and touring capability our customers value,” said Greg Rowe, Acting Managing Director, GM Australia & New Zealand.
