Isuzu New Zealand has announced the introduction of start-stop technology across its local range of vehicles.

Set to feature in new D-Max and MU-X models, Isuzu claims that it will improve fuel economy by up to 10 per cent.

Considering both vehicles are powered by the same 3.0-litre four-cylinder turbo-diesel engine, adding this system to both models would be straight forward.

Isuzu claims a combined fuel economy of 8.7l/100km for the MU-X, and 9.0l/100km for the 4×4 D-Max. An improvement of 10 per cent would leave the MU-X at 7.8l/100km, and the 4×4 D-Max at 8.1l/100km.

“This update reinforces Isuzu’s commitment to continuous improvement,” says Ross Sommerville, General Manager at Isuzu Utes New Zealand. “Our customers want vehicles that can do it all, work hard and go anywhere.”

The updated D-MAX and MU-X range with Start-Stop Technology is now available at Isuzu Utes dealerships nationwide.
