Chery unveils Tiggo V SUV at Beijing Auto Show
Words: Andrew Sluys
Chery has taken the covers off the highly anticipated Tiggo V at the Beijing Auto Show.
Revealed during the brand’s main presentation, the Tiggo V was uncovered alongside a slew of other vehicles from other brands beneath the Chery umbrella.

Featuring aesthetics very similar to the T1TP concept revealed by Chery last year, this Tiggo V is believed to be the production version.
Interestingly, Chery referred to the Tiggo V being an MPV in its presentation, but it’s very SUV-looking to us.
The Tiggo V features a unibody frame, and has a wheelbase of 2.8-metres, so is quite a sizable SUV.
No information was given regarding what would power the Tiggo V, but it’s likely Chery’s Super Hybrid system would make it in there.

Chery’s ICE and PHEV systems are also probably going to end up in the Tiggo V at some point, but it’s unlikely New Zealand will see every option.
No information was provided regarding local availability of the Tiggo V, but considering Chery currently sells four different Tiggo models, it’s quite likely it will land at some point.
