The interior of the new Freelander 8 has been unveiled, which is a collaboration between Chery and Jaguar Land Rover.

Posted to social media, the images show a very screen-heavy interior, with not many physical buttons.

According to Chinese automotive outlet Yiche, the Freelander’s interior features a “Commander” driving seat, and a “L.A.D.Y” passenger seat.

This passenger seat is said to accommodate a passenger up to 1.9-metres tall, and is meant to mimic the space offered by a first class cabin.

There’s a massive 46.3-inch display situated at the top of the dash, which features an 8K resolution.

Below this is a 15.6-inch infotainment screen, which sits above a row of physical switches that look to be the only ones of their type.

There’s dual wireless smartphone chargers, and a woodgrain finish on the centre console, which looks to be reasonably wide.

This Freelander will likely be offered with a range extending powertrain, and feature an 800-volt platform.

It’s also set to feature Huawei Qiankun ADS 5.0 intelligent driving system and the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8397 automotive-grade chip.
