Nissan New Zealand has confirmed that the new Y63 Patrol will be landing locally in the first quarter of 2027.
The brand’s local arm has also opened up order books for the 4×4, asking customers to register interest now.
It will arrive after the current Y62 model bows out, which has been on sale since 2010.
Where the Y62 uses a 5.6-litre V8, this new Y63 model features a twin-turbo 3.5-litre V6 engine that produces more power and torque.
It’s rated at 317kW and 700Nm, which represents a 19kW/140Nm improvement over the V8.
This engine is paired exclusively with a nine-speed automatic transmission, and a full-time four-wheel drive system.
Higher grades of the Patrol will sit on air suspension, paired with Nissan’s new Intelligent Dynamic Damping system.
Inside, it benefits from massaging seats in select model grades, and a 14.3-inch infotainment screen is standard.
There’s also a 12-speaker Klipsch premium audio system to be had in high-spec models, which is powered by a 600-watt amplifier.
