Alongside unveiling a Nismo-tuned version of the Aura hybrid, Nissan used its time at Tokyo Auto Salon this year to show off a refreshed version of the Z.

Considering how long the 370Z and GTR remained unchanged, the timing of this facelift is a surprise, but more inline with what we’ve come to expect from automakers.

As for changes, it gets an updated front end with the crease from the bonnet now carrying right through the front grille.

It’s wearing a new colour that Nissan is calling Unryu Green, and the 10-spoke 19-inch alloy wheels are also new.

On the inside, the updates are more subtle, with a new tan leather interior representing the biggest change.

Beneath the new skin, it has been reported the mechanical updates include re-tuned shocks, and bigger brakes on the Nismo model.

It remains unclear as to whether or not Nissan New Zealand will launch this updated model locally, but NZ Autocar has reached out for more information.
