Zeekr announces luxury ice driving experience in New Zealand 

Zeekr has announced it will be holding its first electric ice driving experience in New Zealand next month. 

Dubbed ‘Zeekr on Ice’, the experience will be held at the Southern Hemisphere Proving Grounds in Queenstown. 

The event allows customers to get behind the wheel of a range of Zeekr’s vehicles and slide around on the slippery surfaces. 

Vehicles on offer to drive include the Zeekr X, the Zeekr 7X, the Zeekr 7GT, the highly anticipated Zeekr 8X and the flagship Zeekr 9X.

Driving exercises will include:

• Vehicle dynamics training on snow
• Slalom and grid slalom challenges
• Power slides and transitions
• Gymkhana circuits
• Hot laps with professional drivers

Two experiences will be run, one from 13-15 August, and another from 14-26 August. 

Packages start from $5,500, which includes the ice experience, two nights at the Millbrook resort, and a helicopter ride off the mountain. 

There’s also a spectator package, starting from $1,500, which includes everything except the driving element.
