Audi has taken another step towards its Formula 1 entry, officially unveiling the Audi Revolut F1 Team name and logo ahead of its debut in the 2026 Formula One World Championship. The German manufacturer has also confirmed a global team launch in Berlin on January 20, 2026, where its full race identity will be revealed.
The newly announced name formalises Audi’s title partnership with global fintech company Revolut, first confirmed in July 2025. Together, the two brands are positioning the Audi Revolut F1 Team as a modern, technology-driven operation aimed at challenging convention both on and off the track.

A centrepiece of the Berlin event will be the unveiling of the team’s full 2026 race livery, following the earlier reveal of the Audi R26 Concept late last year. Audi says the launch will be an immersive experience designed to showcase the team’s core values of clarity, technical intelligence and emotional connection. While the January 20 event will be an exclusive unveiling, fans will be invited to experience the team identity firsthand when the venue opens to the public the following day.
The partnership with Revolut goes beyond traditional sponsorship. Audi says the collaboration will play an active role in shaping fan engagement through exclusive experiences, digital activations and app-based benefits for Revolut customers. Revolut’s technology will also be embedded into the team’s operations, with Revolut Business supporting financial processes and Revolut Pay integrated into the team’s online merchandise store.

As part of Audi’s transition into Formula 1, Sauber Motorsport AG will be renamed Audi Motorsport AG, while the team’s UK base in Bicester will become the Audi Motorsport Technology Centre UK. The Sauber Holding AG and Sauber Technologies AG names will remain, acknowledging the Swiss company’s long-standing history in the sport.
Gernot Döllner, CEO of Audi AG and Chairman of Sauber Motorsport AG, described the announcement as a defining moment for the project. “Unveiling the Audi Revolut F1 Team name and logo marks another major milestone on our journey into the pinnacle of motorsport,” he said, adding that the Berlin launch will officially introduce Audi’s new Formula 1 chapter to the world.

Head of the Audi F1 Project, Mattia Binotto, said the announcement gives the project a clear identity as the team builds toward 2026. Team Principal Jonathan Wheatley added that the new name represents the combined strength of Audi’s operations across Germany, the UK and Switzerland, uniting staff and partners under a single banner.
From Revolut’s perspective, CEO and co-founder Nikolay Storonsky said the partnership reflects a shared ambition to challenge the status quo and push engineering excellence on a global stage.

Audi will enter Formula 1 as a full factory team in 2026, developing its own hybrid power unit in Germany. Powertrain development is based at Audi Formula Racing GmbH in Neuburg an der Donau, while chassis development and race operations will continue in Hinwil, Switzerland. The UK facility in Bicester gives Audi a foothold in the heart of Formula 1’s “Motorsport Valley”.

Audi’s entry aligns with the sport’s new 2026 FIA regulations, which place a greater emphasis on sustainability, including the use of sustainable fuels and a hybrid system with an electric contribution of nearly 50 percent—an approach closely aligned with Audi’s broader technology and electrification strategy.
