Aussie engineer to head up GWM’s local tuning programme

GWM recently announced it is setting up a ‘local’ tuning and engineering programme for its vehicles. By local it means Australian, and the brand has announced that “experienced engineer and prominent ride & handling expert”, Rob Trubiani will join the company as Product Engineering Manager.

Rob Trubiani might not be a household name, but he was responsible for tuning Holdens back in the day and has “nearly 25 years of Australian automotive engineering experience”. 

GWM says; “As Holden’s lead engineer for vehicle dynamics for nearly 15 years, Mr Trubiani has developed a deep understanding of road conditions across the ANZ region and of the vehicle characteristics preferred by customers across the region. As a result, Mr Trubiani has achieved the status of being one of Australia’s most respected vehicle dynamics engineers.”

More recently, Trubiani has held the position of Senior Mechanical Engineer at global automotive engineering consultants Segula Technologies.
