Ebbett Rotorua is now an official home of BYD, one of the world’s fastest-growing and recognised electric and plug-in hybrid vehicle manufacturers.

This addition means Ebbett Rotorua can offer customers a diverse range of sustainable mobility solutions. BYD’s extensive line-up of EV and PHEV models is now available for viewing and test drives. Included are the electric Atto 3, the Shark 6 PHEV ute, and the BYD Sealion 6, a plug-in hybrid electric SUV.

Dealer Principal Willem Pieterse says the introduction of BYD marks a significant milestone.

“We’re excited to have BYD as part of our dealership. It’s a brand that is redefining the way people think about electric and hybrid vehicles. With a fantastic line-up already available…our customers now have even greater opportunities to explore EV and PHEV options that suit their lifestyle and driving needs.”

The addition of BYD reflects Ebbett Rotorua’s focus on innovation, sustainability, and customer choice. As more New Zealanders embrace electric mobility, BYD offers a range of vehicles that combine leading technology, design, and practicality.

Warren Willmot, General Manager for BYD New Zealand, says the appointment of Ebbett Rotorua is a key part of the brand’s nationwide strategy. “Our approach in New Zealand is to partner exclusively with trusted, Kiwi-owned dealers who have a proven track record of excellent customer service.

“This ensures that from the moment a customer walks into the showroom until long after they drive away, they can have complete confidence they are in good local hands. We are proud to have partners like Ebbett Rotorua representing the BYD brand in communities across Aotearoa.”

Customers are invited to visit Ebbett Rotorua to discover the new BYD range and experience firsthand the future of driving.

Ebbett Rotorua also handles Kia, MG, Skoda and Volkswagen.
