Cupra’s much-loved Leon VZ hatch will return to New Zealand this year, priced from $79,990 when it arrives.
The Leon VZ will be sold in two variants locally, with the Pantera Edition representing the entry point, and the Stealth Edition at $81,990.

Both variants make use of a 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder engine, which now produces 239kW and 420Nm.
This is paired with a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission, sending power exclusively to the front wheels, where an electronic LSD handles torque distribution.
It will complete the 0-100km/h sprint in just 5.4-seconds before topping out at 270km/h.

Cupra’s Adaptive Chassis Control system is also standard, which makes use of adaptive dampers to optimise ride and performance.
Other standard equipment includes 19-inch alloys wheels, leather bucket seats, a Sennheiser sound system, and a panoramic sunroof.
Opting for the range-topping Stealth Edition adds a matte paint finish, which is exclusive to this model.

“The return of the Leon VZ Hatch highlights our commitment to delivering vehicles that prioritise
driving emotion and individuality,” says Clinton Baird, National Sales Manager CUPRA New
Zealand.
“We know there is still strong enthusiasm for performance hatchbacks, and this is a
great example of how CUPRA continues to do things differently, bringing exciting, design-led and performance vehicles into the market”
Arrivals of this new Leon VZ are set to kick off in September of this year.
