
GAC Aion V, Denza B5 among five-star ANCAP rating recipients

The GAC Aion V, Denza B5, Hyundai Palisade, and the new Toyota Hilux have all received five-star ANCAP safety ratings.
These five-star ratings achieved through scoring high in five categories; adult occupant protection, child occupant protection, vulnerable road user protection, and safety assist.

The Denza B5 scored 86 per cent in adult occupant protection, 95 per cent in child occupant protection, 74 per cent in vulnerable road user protection, and 78 per cent in safety assist.
The GAC Aion V scored 88 per cent in adult occupant protection, 87 per cent in child occupant protection, 79 per cent in vulnerable road user protection, and 79 per cent in safety assist.

The Hyundai Palisade scored 84 per cent in adult occupant protection, 86 per cent in child occupant protection, 79 per cent in vulnerable road user protection, and 79 per cent in safety assist.
The new Toyota Hilux scored 84 per cent in adult occupant protection, 89 per cent in child occupant protection, 82 per cent in vulnerable road user protection, and 82 per cent in safety assist.

“It is great to see strong results from both established and emerging brands, including the Denza B5 and fully electric models such as the AION V,” ANCAP Chief Executive Officer, Carla Hoorweg said.
“These results show the importance of assessing new brands and models entering the market, regardless of segment or powertrain.
“Each star rating communicates a distinct level of protection, and these results give consumers insight into how these models perform and where manufacturers have advanced safety features of the vehicles.”
