Mazda New Zealand has confirmed the 2026 CX-5 line-up, revealing details of the incoming SUV ahead of the local launch.
Pricing is yet to be revealed for the new line-up that consists of four models in total.

Though Mazda offers a range of engine options on the current CX-5, this is set to be simplified to just one with the introduction of this new model.
This engine is the SkyActiv-G 2.5-litre petrol four-cylinder, which produces 132kW and 242Nm of torque.
A six-speed automatic transmission and Mazda’s i-Activ all-wheel drive system is also now offered as standard.
The CX-5 Touring now represents the entry-point to the range, featuring 17-inch alloy wheels, and privacy glass.

On the inside it gets a 12.9-inch infotainment screen, which supports both wireless Apple Carplay and Android Auto connectivity.
There’s also a wireless phone charger, dual-zone climate control, and heated front seats.
Next in the range is the CX-5 SP, which builds upon the Touring model with the inclusion of 19-inch alloy wheels and an electronic tailgate.
On the inside it gets faux leather upholstery and a head-up display.
The CX-5 Homura represents the penultimate model in the CX-5 line-up, adding visual flair with black accents and black 19-inch alloy wheels.

It gets a panoramic sunroof, leather interior, heated outer rear seats, and a 12-speaker Bose sound system.
At the top of the local CX-5 range is the Takami model, which gets a 15.6-inch infotainment display and brown leather seats that are ventilated.
Mazda New Zealand has confirmed that this new CX-5 will launch locally in Spring of 2026, with pricing being announced in the coming months.
