Miles Mazda to open on Auckland’s North Shore in October

Words: Autocar

Mazda New Zealand has confirmed a new dealership partnership with Miles Group, naming Miles Mazda as the brand’s North Shore representative from 1 October.

The timing lines up neatly with a strong run of new metal for Mazda. The redesigned CX-5 and the brand’s first full EV, the Mazda 6e, have both just landed in New Zealand, while the CX-6e is expected to join the lineup within weeks.

The deal caps months of negotiation between the two companies, with Mazda citing Miles’ facilities investment and customer-service reputation as key drivers behind the tie-up.

“Miles’ track record for superior customer experience makes them the natural partner to represent Mazda on the North Shore, and the timing couldn’t be better,” said Mazda Motors of New Zealand Managing Director David Hodge.

“They join at a time when we’re bringing some incredible new Mazda vehicles to the market.”

Miles North Shore Managing Director Craig Innes echoed the sentiment. “The Miles Group and our business is well-known for providing strong customer service, driven by real passion for our customers and the brands we represent. Given this alignment with Mazda, the decision to represent the brand makes a lot of sense to our entire team.”

Miles Mazda opens its doors on 1 October at 16 Fred Thomas Drive, Takapuna.
