Nissan New Zealand has expanded its local X-Trail offering with the addition of two new variants to the range.
For the first time since the introduction of the X-Trail e-Power, Nissan is offering the hybrid drivetrain in two-wheel drive form.
With just two wheels being driven, these X-Trail e-Power models get an improved fuel economy to the tune of 11 per cent over the all-wheel drive variants.
They are rated to an average figure of 5.4L/100km.
This model now represents the entry-point of the X-Trail e-Power range at $49,990 for the ST-L. The higher-spec Ti-L model can be had from $55,990.
It’s worth noting both of these prices are part of a $6,000 introductory discount, running until the 30th of September.
The other addition to the range is the X-Trail Rock Creek, which arrives with a more rugged exterior than the standard model.
It is available across both petrol and e-Power ST-L models, and gets a black V-motion grille, black roof rails, gloss-black door mirrors, a unique front lower bumper, and 18-inch alloy wheels.
It is available with either seven seats in petrol form or five seats with the e-Power drivetrain.
These Rock Creek SUVs also benefit from a $6,000 introductory offer, running until September 30.
Pricing starts at $50,590 for the petrol seven-seater, and jumps to $55,590 for the e-Power version.
All these new X-Trail variants are available to order now, with arrivals expected in September.
