Audi RS 5 pricing announced for NZ

Audi has announced New Zealand pricing for the RS 5 Avant and Sedan. ​It is expected to arrive here in September. The brand says the car can now be ordered through local Audi dealerships, ‘with strong early interest anticipated as global demand continues to build’.

And so what is the price? The Audi RS 5 Sedan has an RRP of $194,990 while the Audi RS 5 Avant lists for $196,990. The last generation RS 4 Avant cost $169,990. 

To recap, the new model is a plug-in hybrid with a twin turbo 2.9-litre V6. Max output is rated at 470kW and 825Nm enabling a 0 to 100km/h sprint in a claimed 3.7 seconds.

Some of the standard spec items for the NZ bound examples include the RS body kit, black roof rails, digital OLED rear lights and matrix LED headlights with dynamic light sequencing. 

Inside are leather sports seats and interior elements trimmed in microfiber. A few niceties include steering wheel heating, ambient lighting, electric steering wheel adjustment, a digital key, seat heating front and rear while the front seats get ventilation and a massage function.  

There’s a head-up display, Bang and Olufsen 3D premium sound and there’s a screen for the front passenger. 

Standard rolling stock are 21-inch alloys in matt platinum grey while there are three additional wheel options including matt neodymium gold. 

The RS 5 comes standard with the Quattro dynamic torque control, sports suspension and steel brakes. A ceramic brake system is one of the more costly options for the car, adding $22,000 while carbon styling packs can add $12k or $14k if you go for the matte carbon camouflage styling package. There’s also an Audi Sport package for $7k which adds a more flamboyant body kit and raises your top speed to 285km/h.
