Troxel wins NHRA opener

It was her first Top Fuel win, and she became the sixth woman in NHRA history to score a Top Fuel win.

During eliminations she beat teammate Tony Schumacher by 0.0103-seconds in a hard-fought race.

In the Top Fuel final she beat David Baca.

Australian Robert Hight won Funny Car in his John Force Racing Ford Mustang, beating Ron Capps.

Defending Pro Stock champion Greg Anderson (Pontiac GTO) took his 40th career win, easily beating Mike Edwards in the final round.
