Watch: BYD to announce pricing for Sealion 8 SUV

BYD New Zealand will confirm pricing for its new Sealion 8 this Friday morning, during a live-streamed event to officially introduce the brand’s latest large SUV to the local market.
Scheduled for January 23 at 9AM, the live stream will be hosted by Richard Edwards alongside BYD NZ Country Manager Warren Willmot. They will unveil the Sealion 8 — a new seven-seat Super Hybrid SUV.
At over five metres in length, the Sealion 8 occupies an interesting niche. It sits between mid-sized seven-seat SUVs such as the Mitsubishi Outlander and more traditional large family wagons like the Toyota Highlander.
The live presentation will include a detailed walk-around of the Sealion 8, providing a closer look at its interior technology, third-row accommodation and other features.
Following the vehicle tour, the stream will conclude with the official New Zealand pricing announcement.
A live Q&A session will also form part of the event, where prospective buyers will be able to ask questions directly of Willmot on key topics.
The launch will be multi-streamed across several platforms. Viewers will be able to watch the Sealion 8 reveal live on Auto Trader NZ, as well as through broadcast partners EVs and Beyond and NZ Autocar.
