Watch Jeep’s fantastic new Cherokee ad which isn’t going to the Superbowl

Words: Autocar

Jeep has released an ad for the new Cherokee, which will not be aired during the Superbowl, for reasons that remain unclear.

Though Stellantis hasn’t spoken about why it won’t be shown, it’s highly likely that it’s down to the sheer cost of it all.

According to USA Today, you’d be looking at around $15 million for a 30-second ad spot during the big game.

This number is a scary comparison to the average price of a Superbowl ad in 1967, which was a reasonable $70,000.

Despite this, Jeep is still trying to get a slice of the superbowl hype, with the timing of this ad.

It brings together two American icons in the Cherokee SUV, and a Billy the Bass fish.
