Land Rover New Zealand has confirmed the all-electric Range Rover GT will arrive locally in 2027.
Though similar-looking, this GT isn’t the same as the electric Range Rover Sport recently previewed during a private event at the Goodwood Festival of Speed.
We can now reveal that the prototype has become the Range Rover GT, which is presented as the “fifth member of the family”.
It will become the first vehicle to use the EMA platform, which will likely underpin a number of future models.
Powertrain details of this Range Rover GT are yet to be revealed, but it was previously reported that it would likely share this with the upcoming electric Range Rover.
With a 118.5kWh battery, the Range Rover GT should be able to cover over 600km on a single charge.
On the inside, the Range Rover GT looks to be a very simplistic affair. It features a large infotainment screen, and a digital cluster mounted near the windscreen.
The two-spoke steering wheel gives it a rather futuristic look, and the same goes for the white seats.
Land Rover has confirmed this Range Rover GT will arrive as a pure electric vehicle, but might be offered as a hybrid later on.
