Land Rover unveiled the Range Rover Sport Electric at a private event during this year’s Goodwood Festival of Speed.
As was the case with the larger Range Rover Electric, the aesthetic of the SUV has remained unchanged, while the powertrain is very different.
Despite unveiling the SUV in full during the event, Land Rover hasn’t yet mentioned any details as to what will power the Range Rover Sport Electric.
Autocar UK has since stated that it will share its electric drive train with the larger Range Rover, which uses a 118.5kWh battery.
With this large battery onboard, the Range Rover Sport Electric should be able to cover over 600km on a single charge.
It’s also likely to be fitted with a dual-motor powertrain, which produces around 400kW and 850Nm of torque.
Performance-wise, it should be able to hit 100km/h from a standing start in around 4.4-seconds, before topping out at 210km/h.
Land Rover states more details of this Range Rover Sport Electric will be revealed later this year.
