presented alongside beautifully preserved heritage models such as the 1962 220 S Sedan, 1967 280
SL Pagoda and 1971 280 SE 3.5 Coupé, as well as the rare 2001 G 500 Cabriolet.

Together, they offered a unique glimpse into the evolution of Mercedes-Benz design and engineering.
Dealer Principal Michael Collins says the event continues to grow in significance for both the dealership and the wider community.
“Classics & Collectables is always a special day for us. It brings together people who share a genuine
passion for the brand, and it’s a privilege to showcase vehicles that mean so much to their owners.

The generosity of our customers, who allow us to display these remarkable cars, is what makes this a
truly standout event.”
Beyond the vehicles, the day offered a lively, family-friendly atmosphere, with activities for children,
entertainment throughout the showroom and opportunities for guests to connect with fellow
enthusiasts.

The Racing Simulator Challenge once again proved a favourite, giving visitors a taste of AMG performance in a competitive setting.
The 2026 Classics & Collectables Open Day reaffirmed Mercedes-Benz Auckland’s commitment to
celebrating the brand’s heritage while engaging the community in an experience that blends history,
innovation and passion for the road.
