A Japanese tuning company by the name of Result Japan has given the Toyota 86 a pair of pop up headlights as part of a new body kit.
Set to make its debut at Tokyo Auto Salon this weekend, the vehicle has been dubbed the ‘Neo86’, and it benefits from a range of aesthetic upgrades.

Obviously the most significant upgrades are the aforementioned pop-up headlights, which don’t quite work as well with the rounded lines of the 86 compared to the original AE86, but are still a nice touch.
A new front bumper has been grafted onto the front of the coupe, which is in the box-like style of the original car.

This Neo86 also wears widened guards at the front and rear, and a ducktail spoiler on the bootlid.
Pulling this classic Japanese aesthetic together is the livery on the 86, which is a throwback to Takumi’s Sprinter Trueno GT-APEX from the Initial D anime.

The wide six-spoke wheels are also a nod to the famous AE86.
Result Japan is planning to make the body available to Japanese and international customers after it makes its debut at Tokyo Auto Salon.
