After months of rumour, Ferrari CEO Amedeo Felisa sais Ferrari is looking at three solutions in order to meet the stringent 2014 European emissions standards.
Felisa told Car and Driver Ferrari is exploring turbocharging, but insisted that the engines would “still have that high-revving Ferrari feeling.”
Biofuel is also being explored at Ferrari. “The ECU in the California can already adapt to E85, so the know-how is there,” Felisa says.
Most importantly, Felisa hinted that a hybrid Ferrari concept will make its debut soon. “Not at Frankfurt,” he said, “but shortly thereafter, probably at an American show.”
