Murph still not over his 5 minute penalty in Repco’s latest Bringin’ the Bathurst ad

Repco is warming up motorsport fans for the 2026 Bathurst 1000 with a new advertising campaign featuring racing legends, current Supercars drivers and plenty of references to memorable moments from Mount Panorama.
The latest instalment of Repco’s annual Bringin’ the Bathurst ad campaign takes viewers to the fictional Bathurst Driving School, where a new group of students is attempting to earn its ‘B’ plates.
Motorsport commentator Neil Crompton leads the class alongside five-time Bathurst winner Garth Tander, although they receive plenty of assistance from some familiar faces.
New Zealand racing great Greg Murphy appears in the commercial, joined by Bathurst royalty Larry Perkins and Dick Johnson. Current Supercars stars Brodie Kostecki and David Reynolds also feature.

The driving school format gives the campaign plenty of room to revisit Bathurst folklore. Pop-up kangaroos, troublesome rocks, close-quarters driving lessons and an overly confident student are among the challenges facing the class.
Long-time Bathurst followers will find numerous references and in-jokes scattered throughout the commercial, including nods to incidents that have become part of the race’s history.
“Bringin’ the Bathurst is Repco’s way of sharing a laugh with race fans,” said Mitch Wiley, Executive General Manager of Marketing at Repco.
“This year’s ad has plenty of familiar faces, moments and in-jokes that make Bathurst what it is. Keep your eyes peeled—there’s plenty in there.”
The 2026 Repco Bathurst 1000 will take place at the Mount Panorama Circuit from October 8–11.
