Citroën has unveiled its latest concept car, a six-seat MPV that it calls the ‘ELO’.

Doubling as a rolling laboratory for research into maximising space on an EV platform, this ELO concept features a bunch of interesting features.

At 4.1-metres long, it’s only slightly bigger than a Citroën C3, but has seating inside for up to six occupants, plus the driver’s seat is mounted in the centre.

Designed with outdoor brand Decathlon, a lot of materials and features seen in this concept are inspired by outdoor activities.

The interior can be reconfigured into whatever seating arrangement is needed, including removal of the rear seats entirely, allowing for an impromptu picnic.

Once removed, these chairs are able to be used outdoors.

Citroën notes this feature is a nod to the iconic 2CV, which was one of the first vehicles designed with a handful of quirky uses in mind.

There are a pair of mattresses folded in the boot, which are also inflatable. An air compressor is also featured on the ELO to inflate these.

It also gets an electric vehicle to load function, which allows occupants to power their devices inside, allowing the ELO to become a mobile office.
