Mercedes-Benz has shown off the latest version of its iconic G-Class Cabriolet ahead of the official launch later this year.
Images of the roofless SUV were posted to Mercedes’ official Instagram account, where it had shed most of the camouflage it previously wore.
Despite the extra bodywork shown, the details around the actual folding roof remained covered by a wrap.
A video accompanying the post shows how the folding roof works, which looks to retract like any other Mercedes convertible.
Previously, the G-Class Cabriolet has only been offered as a two-door SUV, so this is a first for the brand.
Putting a retracting roof on the full-size G-Class is something that Mercedes will likely make a whole heap of money off.
Details of this SUV remain a mystery for the most part, although it has been confirmed to get a V8 engine.
The side pipes in the teaser images are a dead giveaway, as are the AMG plates. This means it will be a full-fat G63.
