Alfa Romeo’s 33 Stradale goes dark with one-off Perla Nera
Words: Kyle Cassidy
If owning one of just 33 cars isn’t exclusive enough, Alfa Romeo has another option: commission a version nobody else can have.

That’s the thinking behind the 33 Stradale Perla Nera, a bespoke creation with exposed carbon-fibre bodywork, an all-black finish and seats tailored to its owner.

The unnamed Alfa collector even chose and registered the Perla Nera name, which translates to Black Pearl. Created through the Bottegafuoriserie operation serving Alfa Romeo and Maserati, the car takes personalisation well beyond choosing paint and upholstery.
Carbon takes centre stage
The Perla Nera is the only car in the 33 Stradale production run with an entirely exposed, matt-finish carbon-fibre body.

The material has been arranged to complement the body’s curves, with a V-shaped pattern on the bonnet and a herringbone treatment continuing across the roof. Black wheels complete the exterior.

Inside, exposed carbon meets black Alcantara. The sports seat was reshaped around the owner’s physique through dedicated fitting sessions, while redesigned headrests carry carbon inserts bearing the Perla Nera name.

The detailing extends to the owner’s initials on the rotary selector and a matching Alcantara luggage set. The car’s 03/33 numbering appears on both the luggage and a storage compartment behind the seats.
Performance to match

Behind the cabin sits a 3.0-litre twin-turbo V6 producing more than 463kW, paired with an eight-speed dual-clutch transmission driving the rear wheels.
Alfa quotes a sub-three-second sprint to 100km/h and a 333km/h top speed. A carbon-fibre monocoque and aluminium H-frame chassis provide the structural foundations.

All 33 examples of the modern 33 Stradale are already spoken for, so this isn’t something to add to a shopping list. There is, however, a chance to see the Perla Nera before it disappears into its owner’s collection: it will remain on display at the Alfa Romeo Museum in Arese until 18 October.
