Alfa Romeo tease a new concept car that will define its future
Words: Alex Schultz
Alfa Romeo has released an abstract image of a new concept car that will be unveiled at the 2026 Paris Motor Show (October 12th).
While it’s hard to make out exactly what type of car the concept will be, the image appears to show the rear three-quarters of a sports car, something Alfa Romeo says is “A car every Alfisti has been waiting for”
It’s also unclear whether this concept car will go into production or will remain purely a concept-only design study or possibly be a hyper-exclusive model like the 33 Stradale.
The three main areas of inspiration for the concept are Italy, Red and Sportiness. In fairness, I think all Alfa Romeos draw from those things, but Alfa Romeo says…
“From these three ingredients comes a masterpiece that is unmistakably Italian and unmistakably Alfa Romeo, looking to the future with ambition and boldness.”
Currently, the Italian manufacturer is still producing the Giulia and Stelvio, which have been in production since 2015 and 2016, respectively. Both are expected to be replaced with new models in 2027. The Tonale could also be nearing the end of its lifecycle around the same time. There is also the Junior, which was not sold in New Zealand.
Recently, Alfa Romeo teased a C-segment SUV that is also scheduled to enter production in 2027.
