Arcfox has launched its first vehicle in New Zealand, in the form of the all-electric T1 SUV.
As a division of the BAIC Group, Arcfox was established in 2017 with a focus on technology-led electric vehicles. In New Zealand, it is part of the growing portfolio of Auto Distribution Holdings.
Previously announced pricing puts the T1 at $34,990, thanks to a $2,000 introductory offer.
The T1 is powered by a 42.3kWh lithium iron phosphate battery, which provides a driving range of 310km (WLTP).
It features a single electric motor on the front axle, which produces 70kW and 176Nm of torque.
While a maximum DC charging rate is yet to be provided, it can charge from 30 to 80 per cent in around 25 minutes.
It measures 4,337mm long, 1,860mm wide, and 1,572mm high. At this size, it’s comparable with BYD’s Atto 2 SUV.
On the inside it features a 15.6-inch infotainment display, and gets a smaller digital cluster behind the steering wheel.
It gets Apple Carplay connectivity, a wired phone charger, and vehicle-to-load functionality as standard.
There’s also features such as front and rear parking radar, 360-degree surround view, and automatic parking.
On the safety front, the T1 gets Automatic Emergency Braking, On-Off Adaptive Intelligent Cruise Control System and Traffic Congestion Assistance are all included as standard.
This is all backed by Arcfox’s six-year/200,00km vehicle warranty, and eight-year/200,000km battery warranty.
The Arcfox T1 is currently arriving in dealerships across the country for the first customer deliveries planned this month. Additional models from the Arcfox range are scheduled to launch over coming months.
