Forthing New Zealand has announced Winger Motors on Auckland’s North Shore and Ebbetts in Tauranga, expanding its dealer network across NZ.
Since launching in New Zealand in April 2026, Forthing has built its presence around four foundation dealerships: Forthing Central Auckland, Forthing Hamilton, Forthing Wellington (Lower Hutt) and Forthing Christchurch.
“We always said the initial four locations were just the beginning,” says Todd Groves, General Sales Manager for Forthing NZ. “Adding Winger North Shore and Ebbetts Tauranga is a clear signal that Forthing is here for the long term and that we’re serious about making our vehicles accessible to Kiwis wherever they live and work.”
Paul Govind, Dealer Principal at Winger Motors North Shore, says the Forthing Taikon “delivers strong value, great features, and competitive pricing,” adding it’s backed by “the experience our team has built over 95 years.”
In Tauranga, Dealer Principal Julian Clements says the Taikon “is a great fit for buyers who want genuine value without compromising on style or technology,” and expects it to resonate with Kiwi families shopping the SUV segment.
From July 1, customers across the North Shore and Bay of Plenty can visit their local dealer to explore the Taikon range and book test drives, with new models due before the end of 2026 and more from 2027.
The Taikon medium SUV is available in Super Hybrid or full EV power, across Luxury and Exclusive trims, from $39,990 plus on-road costs — backed by a 7-year/200,000km factory warranty, 8-year/200,000km battery warranty, and 7 years of roadside assist.
