BMW has confirmed New Zealand pricing for its upcoming electric SUV, the BMW iX3, which will arrive locally mid-year as the first model built on the brand’s all-new Neue Klasse platform.
The launch variant, the iX3 50 xDrive, will be priced from $125,900 and introduces a new generation of BMW technology, design and electrification.
Power comes from a dual-motor all-wheel-drive system producing 345kW and 645Nm, enabling a 0–100km/h sprint in 4.9 seconds and a top speed of 210km/h. Energy is supplied by a 108kWh battery using BMW’s sixth-generation eDrive technology with cylindrical cells and an 800-volt electrical architecture.

BMW claims the iX3 can travel up to 805km on the WLTP cycle. Fast-charging capability peaks at 400kW, allowing more than 350km of range to be added in around 10 minutes, while a 10–80 percent charge takes approximately 21 minutes. Three-phase 22kW AC charging will also be standard in New Zealand.
Inside, the iX3 debuts BMW’s Panoramic iDrive system based on the new Operating System X. A wide BMW Panoramic Vision display projects key driving information across the lower windscreen, supported by a 3D head-up display and central touchscreen.

Underpinning the vehicle’s electronics are four high-performance “superbrain” computers managing driving dynamics, automated driving, infotainment and comfort functions. BMW’s new “Heart of Joy” control system coordinates drivetrain and chassis responses to maximise performance and efficiency.
Standard equipment includes 20-inch alloy wheels, a Harman Kardon sound system, panoramic glass roof, heated seats, parking assistance, adaptive cruise control and an M Sport package.

Further electric variants of the iX3 are expected to follow as BMW continues expanding its electrified lineup.
