Honda’s little Super One EV is not only New Zealand-bound, but it is also bringing back the wide, box-like aesthetic of the much-loved City Turbo.
It turns out Mugen didn’t think the Super One was wide enough, and has hit the electric hot hatch with its trademark treatment.

The most obvious change are the fenders that are even wider than the standard Super One fenders.
They push the wheels out even further at each corner, and the vented guards at the front make it look super aggressive.
There have also been bumper extensions added at end each, with the ‘MUGEN’ lettering on the front very obvious.

At the rear, the Super One gets a small diffuser that probably won’t be doing a lot of the heavy lifting when it comes to aero efficiency.
The 16-inch wheels are also new, as is the fibreglass hood with a power dome, and the carbon fibre rear wing.
On the inside, the Super One swaps out its standard seats for a pair of blue denim coloured Recaros, and gets a new steering wheel.

According to Mugen, the seats are currently unavailable with the kit, but the rest of it will set buyers in Japan back around NZ$15,000.
Considering we’re picking the Super One EV to fall in the $40,000 region when it lands in NZ, this is a significant amount of money for a body kit.
