After a Reddit slip-up that took the shine off Brabus’ official unveiling of the Bodo coupe, the sinister machine has finally been unveiled in full.

It has been built as a tribute to the founder of the company, Bodo Buschmann, who always wanted to build something like this, but never got the chance.

Standing at over five metres long, and two metres wide, the Bodo looks like something Bruce Wayne would have salivated over.

It might look familiar to the Aston Martin fans among us, as it is essentially a heavily reworked version of the current Vanquish.

It’s also just 1.2-metres tall, so you’ll need to be in reasonable shape if you want to fold yourself into it.

It features an enormous bonnet, and a teardrop tail, giving it an aesthetic similar to those swooping coupes of last century.

Beneath the hood is a Aston Martin-sourced 5.2-litre twin-turbo V12 engine pumping out over 1,000hp (or 735kW).

Amazingly, it is exclusively rear-wheel drive, and an eight-speed automatic transmission somehow juggles 1,200Nm of torque.

It will hit 100km/h from a standing start in just three seconds flat, before hitting a top speed of 360km/h.

According to Brabus, this top speed is limited by the Continental SportContact 7 Force tyres that it wears.

On the inside, the styling is a little more reserved than the exterior, but it still carries a sinister vibe about it.

Brabus plans to produce just 77 Bodos in total, as a reference to the brand’s founding year.
