CF Moto is adding another variant to its CL-X 700 neo-retro line-up, in the form of the 700 CL-X Adventure.

Think retro-style scrambler with mild off-road ability afforded by added ground clearance, a 19-inch wire spoked front wheel, a beaky mudguard up front, wider bars and dual-sport rubber.

There’s also an off-road riding mode, but no bash plate or sump guard so only mild dirt riding is envisaged, not gnarly jumps.

Other ADV styling cues include a different seat, a touring windscreen and in-built pannier racks with CF Moto’s (CL-)X logo.

Otherwise it is similar to the 700 CL-X Heritage and Sport models. And image of the handlebars suggests cruise control is standard fare as well.

Under the hood is a 693cc liquid-cooled fuel-injected parallel twin with an output of 52kW and 58Nm of torque. Wet weight is 203kg with its 13L tank fully fueled.

Where the Sport variant comes with Brembo brakes and adjustable suspension this instead has a J.Juan floating disc brake up front (four-piston radial-mount caliper) and a single solid disc at the rear, both under dual-channel ABS control. Adjustable suspension is also likely.

Whether or not the Adventure model makes it here is unclear, though we’d imagine it would given the popularity of scramblers at present. And pricing will probably be around the $12k mark, given the CL-X Sport goes for that.
